TUTORIAL - Create a UFO in C4D
In my FIRST EVER video tutorial, I'll be showing you how to create a UFO in Cinema 4D. I learned how to make this UFO while working on post production for THE INSURGENTS. This is the same technique I used in the final trailer which can be seen at PrettyPeoplePictures.com/Insurgents.
In this tutorial I'll show you how to create a basic textured disc shape and then drop it into an Array Object where you can create an epic looking UFO.
As I said, this is my first tutorial so it's a little rough here and there, but it should teach you the basic ideas and get you to a good starting point for creating your own awesome UFO.
I've included the project file below where you can download the textures I used and a couple of C4D project files for you to play with. If you go to the Vimeo page, you can watch the tutorial in HD, or download the tutorial in Quicktime form so it's easy to start and stop.
